I've deleted emails from my inbox, and they're in my deleted folder, but I can still access them. Is there any way that I can delete them for good and not have them sit in my deleted items?

well make sure you empty your deleted items folder and even then they're saved in your archives, so to really permanently delete them you have to get rid of them in both places.
It should be somewhere in your options
