I made a yahoo answers account and i don't really use it that much and i just wondered how to delete it.

You cannot delete it but you can change everything so people do not know it is you:





鈼樷棙 Erase your name and set it to a dash or something


鈼樷棙 Set your avatar to the blank gray picture


鈼樷棙 Erase all the information on your Y!A Profile


鈼樷棙 Delete all your open questions %26amp; answers


鈼樷棙 Delete all your contacts and fans


鈼樷棙 Delete all links to your Messenger and Email


鈼樷棙 Set any other remaining items to private


鈼樷棙 Never use the account again





Congratulations! You're all done.

Hi





I only know of one way. Get your account suspended. Suspending means your away from a period of time, but on Y!A you are deleted, forever. Say mean things, inappropriate things, chat, breaking anything and everything in the Terms of Service and Community Guide Lines, and you will be removed, and no one will be able to access your account because it does not exist.





Now, to erase your E-MAIL ADDRESS, do not sign in or log in for three or four weeks. After this period of time, Yahoo! thinks you have abandoned it and you are not using it, so they are going to clear their database and erase it, so you can't log in, no body can e-mail you, chat with you, and everything that is associated with your account will not be recieved.





But if you don't allow anyone to add you as a Contact and make your Q%26amp;A Private to the Public, then no one can see anything in your profile, other than your information (which is located under your avatar in your profile) and how many Best Answers and how many Others you have on the side bar on the right side of the screen.





You can make your Q%26amp;A Private and edit it so no one can add you as a Contact is to edit your information. You can make your Q%26amp;A Private by:





My Profile %26gt; Edit My Info %26gt; Yahoo! Answers Network %26gt; On my public profile, hide my Q%26amp;A from people who are not my Contacts (check this) %26gt; On my public profile, only show my Answers Network to my Contacts (also check this %26gt; Preview %26gt; OK





To allow no one to add you as a Contact, do this:





My Profile %26gt; Edit My Info %26gt; Yahoo! Answers Network %26gt; Allow other Answers users to be my fan. ( do NOT check this) %26gt; Preview %26gt; OK





To delete your avatar:





My Profile %26gt; Edit My Information %26gt; Picture %26gt; No Picture (it's a gray head) %26gt; Preview %26gt; OK





To delete all of your Fans/Contacts:





My Profile %26gt; My Network %26gt; Remove





To change your name:





My Profile %26gt; Edit My Info %26gt; Nickname %26gt; Choose what you want %26gt; Preview %26gt; OK





All of these steps above ( ^ ) will help you erase everything, your account, all of your information, your e-mail, basically everything that exists with your Yahoo! Account. But I gave you ways so you don't have to go all out and delete your e-mail, that's your choice.

Your Yahoo account comes as a package and you can only delete the whole package that includes the following:





* Yahoo! Answers. (Your questions and answers will remain).


* Flickr.


* Yahoo! Mail.


* Yahoo! Notepad.


* My Yahoo!.


* Any other Yahoo! program that needs your Yahoo ID and password.
