How do I find out my bank account number for the purposes of direct deposit?

The other option you have if you're waiting on checks, is to go to your bank and ask them for something on bank letterhead that states the bank's routing and account numbers. Your employer needs both of those to establish your direct deposit, so that would be the quickest way to do it.

If you already have the Routing Number, then just go into the bank with your ID or License and ask for your Account Number, because you haven't received your checks yet.
How do I find out my bank account number for the purposes of direct deposit?
If you look at one of your checks or one of your preprinted deposit slips, at the bottom will be a string of numbers. The first set of numbers is the ABA number which identifies the bank. The second set of numbers is your account number. The third set of numbers (on your check) would be the check number.
Reply:Call your bank. They will generally ask you several security questions and then give it to you or just go in with ID and ask. Not hard.
Reply:It is on your checks (2nd set of #'s) or contact your bank directly.
