How to prevent unauthorize use of email account by internet source?

My email account is being accessed by someone or company sending out emails as if they are being sent by me telling people of latest wholesale offerings and asking them to contact a website to place a order to check out the deals. Contacting Yahoo Security resulted in standard answer concerning running anti virus software, which I have done with no results. How do I stop this person or company from pretending to be me? Thanks for your help.
How to prevent unauthorize use of email account by internet source?
Hello,

If you look at the full email headers of the emails you may be able to find out who is sending the emails and report the spammer to their ISP. Results will vary depending on who they are using for their data connection but it may be possible to report and stop the abuse with enough information. As suggested above, although the mails likely are not coming from you, it's never a bad idea to change and reset your password to a strong password:

Reply:A spammer has spoofed your address as the "From" address in the spam. There's NOTHING that you can do to stop that. Spoofing the From address is child's play.

Just be sure that you use a strong password on your Yahoo account and change it frequently.
Reply:The From address is as easy to secure as the return address on the back of an envelope.

There isn't anything practical that can be done to stop it.
Reply:It seems as though you have a bot on your computer sending out spam email, try running malware-bytes anti-malware. :))
