I want to setup a trading account on etrade but it seems kind of hard to find a basic trading account for someone that wants to invest and trade a small amount. I saw one min of 2k and then one of 10k and one of 50k but can't tell what accounts those fall under.
What are the minimum account balance for setting up a trading account on etrade?
Actually, I just opened a basic account with ETrade with a balance of $200. Give them a call and they can explain the basic account differences to you. Just be aware that with low account balances, the trade commissions are rather high (I'm paying $9.99 per trade right now). Good luck!
Reply:I just Signed up with Scott Trade. Only $500.00 minimum to open a cash account without margin's or options, which If your like me, aren't worried about right now. Hope I helped you.
